The Moorings has just announced the opening of a new charter base in La Paz, at the southern tip of the Baja peninsula. Between crystal-clear waters and cacti, this new Mexican destination promises grandiose landscapes, uncrowded anchorages and incredibly rich underwater fauna.
La Paz is located at 24° North, just above the Tropic of Cancer. The climate is subtropical desert (only 170 mm/6.7 inches of rainfall per year, that falls mainly in August and September); if you like the sun, you’re in for a treat, as it shines there for almost 3,300 hours a year, i.e. 75% of the time. Water temperatures range from 70°F (20.5°C) in February and March to 84°F (29°C) in September. Bookings are now open for January 2025. For the time being, one power and one sail model are available, skippered or bareboat: the Moorings 403PC and the 4500 (Leopard 40 PC and 45).
