Sardine Boats: A minimalist trimaran for the coming summer?

Sardine Boats, a builder who specializes in the design and construction of small wooden and composite models, has just presented a rather exciting trimaran project...

It's a subtle cultural mix: canoe hulls, modern inverted bows, light Polynesian-style arms and finally Lateen sails. A cocktail which should prove explosive on the water if we judge by the characteristics announced: 6 m (19’8”) long, 4.50 m (14’9”) beam, 100 kg (220 lbs) unladen (max load of 250 kg/550 lbs) and finally 12 m² (130 sq ft) of sail area... The yard could start work as early as the end of spring 2020.
