As we announced back in July, the largest VisionF catamaran ever built has been launched. Measuring 101 feet (30.7 meters) in length, this aluminum multiyacht is topped with a GRP coachroof and powered by four Volvo Penta IPS 1350 motors delivering a total of 4,000 HP.
However, it will not be breaking the speed records set by the VisionF 46 and that model’s announced speed of 80 knots - the 101 will be content with a maximum speed of 17 knots and will therefore cruise at 10 or 12 knots to ensure transoceanic capabilities. The strong point of this new model is, of course, its comfort - a few area measurements give an idea of this: a 1,420-square-foot (132 m²) flybridge, a 1,100-square-foot (103 m²) saloon, an 820-square-foot 76 m²) foredeck with home cinema, a 320-square-foot (30 m²) owner’s suite occupying most of the starboard hull, and a 140-square-foot (13 m²) galley.
