The German-American company is managed by Florian Nierich - a former Hanse sailor – and is therefore banking on a modern motorboat concept. The backdrop: zero emissions, durability, performance and luxury. The Voltaire 33 SKY is an elegant Open catamaran designed for day-use. She will be built in a flax fiber composite with bio-epoxy resin, an attractive alternative to all-polyester. But the main interest of this new 100% electric model is the announced range: 100 miles at 9 knots and a top speed of 17 to 20 knots! To achieve these results, the manufacturer has chosen twin 50 kW Deep Blue motors and two 42 kWh BMW i3 batteries. The first Voltaire 33 SKY, to be manufactured at the Daedalus Yachts plant in North Carolina, USA, will be delivered in the spring of 2021.
