Innovation Route 2026

Cannes Sets its Course for Sustainable Boating

The Cannes Yachting Festival is renewing its Innovation Route program for its 49th edition, to be held from 8 to 13 September 2026.

Launched last year, the initiative aims to highlight the most innovative and sustainable solutions showcased by exhibitors at the show. Spread across both the Vieux Port and Port Canto, the route will enable visitors to easily identify the selected projects thanks to dedicated signage. The Innovation Route is accompanied by the second edition of the Innovation Route Awards, which are open free of charge to all exhibitors. Four categories are featured: Best Equipment Enhancing Navigation, Best Sustainable Product, Best Innovative Boat, Best CSR Initiative. A Special Jury Prize may also be awarded.

Applications are open until 17 July and will be assessed by an international jury comprising boating industry professionals, specialist journalists, and experts in environmental transition. The winners will be announced on the opening day of the show, 8 September.

During the inaugural edition, several noteworthy projects received awards, including a number of multihulls such as the ModX 70, a fully electric catamaran; the M.10, Millikan's autonomous solar-electric powercat; and the Vaan R5, built in aluminium and 95% recyclable.
